Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site can set, what it does, and how to turn analytics on or off at any time.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser, and similar technologies such as localStorage work the same way. Some are needed for a site to function. Others, like analytics, are optional — and under the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR they may only be used with your prior consent.
2. How we handle consent
Analytics is off by default. This site loads Google Tag Manager with Google Consent Mode v2 set to denied for every non-essential signal before any tag runs, so no analytics identifier is written until you press Accept analytics. Rejecting takes exactly one click, the same as accepting, and continuing to browse is never treated as consent.
Advertising signals — ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalisation — stay denied permanently. This site runs no advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking tags.
3. The cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
apdx-consent | apdexter.com (first party) | Stores your cookie choice and the date you made it, so we do not ask again on every page and can evidence the consent given. | Persistent, stored in localStorage until you clear it or change your choice | Strictly necessary |
_ga | Google Analytics (apdexter.com) | Assigns a randomly generated identifier used to distinguish one visitor from another. | 2 years | Analytics |
_ga_G-96E4C2C4XF | Google Analytics (apdexter.com) | Keeps the session state for this specific Google Analytics 4 property. | 2 years | Analytics |
Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies; it is the container through which the Google Analytics tag above is loaded, and only after consent.
4. Third-party requests without cookies
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That request sets no cookie, but it does disclose your IP address and user agent to Google as part of serving the font file. It is necessary to render the site as designed and is covered in the Privacy Policy.
5. Changing your choice
Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page to accept or withdraw analytics consent. Withdrawing stops any further collection immediately; it does not delete data already collected, which you can request separately under section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “do not track” or tracking-protection option. Blocking strictly necessary storage may mean we cannot remember that you declined analytics.
